Every year old fashion trends and new fashion trends start to appear. There are many new ways to spice up an outfit and different clothing items to make your style stand out.
It is said that fashion repeats itself. The students at Jenks High School are proving that to be true. Mom jeans, bell-bottoms and bootcut jeans are all making a comeback. 70’s, 80’s and 90’s trends can easily be spotted on teens and young adults everywhere.
Here are just some of the many trendy outfits being worn at Jenks and where you can find this look for yourself.
Wearing a thrifted pair of mom jeans, cropped striped shirt and black leather booties, sophomore Maren Money is a great example of 90’s vibes. Thrifting has recently been a popular activity for teenagers, it is a way to find unique and affordable new clothing items.

Wearing her unique baggy green pants, freshman Grace Phelps is showing off her style with her thrifted outfit.
“I tend to go for more of an 80’s or 90’s aesthetic. I really just like the way it looks, I don’t just want to blend in,” Phelps said.
Junior Cassidy Rogers is smiling in her colorful slip dress paired with a white short sleeve shirt. This popular 90s trend was a way to make the outfit more casual but still stylish.
“I love fashion because it allows me to express who I am in my own unique ways,” Rogers said.

Freshman Olivia Cropper is pairing her denim skirt with a black leather belt, having a statement belt is also another popular trend recently. Along with her skirt is a long sleeve sweater to give this chic outfit a more cozy vibe.
These are just some of the many new trends in 2018. There are always new ways to make an outfit stand out. With accessories, unique clothing pieces and a confident attitude, the possibilities are endless.
