Spring Activities Calendar

As Spring gets closer and the weather gets nice, everyone is looking for something fun to do outdoors before the weather gets too hot. The Trojan Torch has put together a calendar full of fun and mostly free events to attend during this nice season.

MARCH

March 15th

3-8 PM- Tulsa Irish Festival at Guthrie Greens: A free festival for friends and family to listen to Irish music and celebrate Irish Culture

March 15th

7 PM-8 AM – Zzz’s in the Seas at The Oklahoma Aquarium: Bring your blankets and sleeping bags and spend the night sleeping under the sharks. The event will have multiple fun activities and you can get your ticket for $45 at this link.

March 16th

12-8 PM- Tulsa Irish Festival at Guthrie Greens: A free festival for friends and family to listen to Irish music and celebrate Irish Culture.

8-4 PM- Tulsa Flea Market at River Spirit Expo Center, Lower Level: A free entry flea market where you can get your thrift on while staying in the Tulsa area.

2:30-6:30 PM- Sunday Concerts in the Park at Guthrie Greens:  A  free  event where local creators come and perform in the park

March 17th

1 PM- St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Got Wood Axe Throwing Co.: Celebrate this fun Irish holiday by throwing axes with friends! Throwing will be $15 per person, per hour.

March 23rd

10-5 PM- Tulsa Bead Market at Fair Meadows Exhibit Hall by the Tulsa Expo: A free event where you can shop and view all kinds of beads and Jewelry from makers in the Tulsa area.

April 5th

Clean Shorts Film Festival at the Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw: Spend the afternoon watching short films made by filmmakers from the state at this free film festival.

April 5th

7 PM- Battle of the Bands 2019 at Cains Ballroom: Check out some of Tulsa’s up-and-coming artists at this event presented by the Eastern Oklahoma Food Bank. Tickets are $10 ahead and $12 at the door.

April 6th

Aquarium Run at The Oklahoma Aquarium:  Run a 5K around Jenks and the Aquarium, then finish your experience off by walking around the aquarium and saying hi to all teh fish! To sign up go to Runsignup.com

April 21st

7-3 PM- Jenks Herb N’ Plant Festival on Jenks Main Street: A free  event to embrace the Spring season and shop for some new plants or herbs for your own home!

May 3rd

12-4 PM- BBQ’n Blues Festival at Washington Irving Memorial Park:  Get ready for Summer Barbeques and pig out at this free bbq festival in Bixby.

Chalk It Up Art Festival in Rose District in Broken Arrow:  Celebrate local artists at the free festival that features arts in all mediums, plus chalk art drawn all over the sidewalk by community members of all ages.
