Should We Be Worried About Jenks Football?

With a rough start to the season, Jenks is currently 1-2 just recently suffering a tough 9-3 loss to Union. Heading into Bixby in a must-win game early in the season, this might be a test for Jenks as they dropped two games in a row to Union and Owasso. The future of the season is uncertain for Jenks.

Greatest Weaknesses for Jenks

Every sports team has to get points on the board early, and Jenks has not done that. Currently Jenks has only put 30+ points one time against Edmond Santa Fe in week one, since then Jenks has only put 27 points in two weeks, that is a 13.3 points per game total. Jenks also struggled in clutch situations as they failed to put a winning drive together against Union. The defense also has some question marks, mostly in consistency as they only allowed 3 points against Edmond Santa Fe and Union, but allowed 42 points against Owasso. If Jenks eyes set on the playoffs they need to fix these issues.

Greatest Strengths for Jenks

Every great team has to win against smaller schools, and so far Jenks has won against the small school they have played with a 48-3 pounding of Edmond Santa Fe. Every good team figures out how to win, and for Jenks they are good at this as last year they ended 9-5 even though starting 1-3.

Overall Thoughts

Overall, I think that Jenks if they make improvements on the defense, and the rushing attack and passing attack they could make the playoffs. Although if they don't make these improvements they will continue to struggle. I also think that it is a little early to worry if Jenks is struggling by week 5-6 then we should be concerned about this season.
